The AnalystGenius Benchmark evaluates the breadth and accessibility of capabilities offered by analyst firms and market intelligence providers. The benchmark is designed to answer:
How comprehensively can a user research markets, companies, competitors and technology using each provider?
It does not measure overall firm quality, analyst expertise, customer satisfaction, market share or suitability for every use case.
Evaluation Dimensions
Each provider is evaluated across six neutral dimensions:
Coverage
The breadth of companies, industries, technologies, markets, and geographies available through the provider’s digital offering.
Data
The availability of proprietary research, market data, forecasts, company information, historical data, and analyst-produced insights.
Research & Analysis
The ability to compare companies, providers, markets, and performance using benchmarks, frameworks, scorecards, and analytical tools.
Monitoring & Intelligence
The ability to track developments over time through alerts, updates, dashboards, event monitoring, and emerging-signal detection.
AI & Automation
The use of AI and automation to support search, summarization, question answering, document analysis, research synthesis, and report creation.
Platform & Enterprise Readiness
The usability and accessibility of the digital offering, including search, personalization, collaboration, exports, integrations, permissions, and security controls.
Evaluation Framework
The benchmark evaluates providers against a structured framework of 56 standardized capability indicators spanning the complete digital research workflow.

Each indicator represents a distinct capability that can be consistently evaluated across all eligible providers. Examples include: company coverage, industry coverage, historical data, benchmarking, comparative analysis, real-time alerts, AI search, document alaysis, data export, APIs, security controls, collaboration, personalization.
Capability Indicators
Each indicator has:
• A written definition
• A consistent scoring rubric
• Required evidence standards
• One of three possible scores (1.0, 0.5, 0.5)
